Connections - Summer 2008
Rocky Mountain Wild and Ent – Uniquely Colorado
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is going wild this summer with the introduction of its
new Rocky Mountain Wild exhibit complex. Structured to connect visitors with
the wild heritage of the Rocky Mountain region, the three-acre “wilderness” area
offers unique encounters with moose, mountain lions, North American river
otters, lynx, bald eagles and grizzly bears.
Ent is a proud sponsor of this special attraction, which features stories of
the Rocky Mountains and opportunities to get up-close and personal with some
of the smaller animals. Plus, you can visit a mountainside wetland area and
ascend the mountain for breathtaking views of the city below and the
surrounding landscape. At the top, you can walk the rustic boardwalk as it
weaves through the trees and culminates with the chance to see grizzlies
roaming the rugged terrain, foraging for food in a hollowed-out tree and fishing
for trout in their pool.
Let your imagination run wild as you explore all the exhibit has to offer, and be
sure to look for Ent's participation during the zoo's Teddy Bear Days, Military
Appreciation Weekend, Fiesta Latina and Boo at the Zoo events. We look forward
to visiting with you and your family as you enjoy these special activities at America's
only mountain zoo.
Summer is a great time to visit the zoo...and, a great time to enroll your
children in Ent's Money Space® programs – Star Savers® (ages 5-12) and GalaxySM
(ages 13-17). Open a new account, or convert an existing minor account, by
August 30, 2008, and receive a plush mountain lion toy along with a ticket to
the zoo (while supplies last).
Ent members can enjoy a $2 discount on zoo tickets all year
(some restrictions apply) by showing your Ent membership card, ATM or
Visa® Check Card, or account statement at the zoo ticket window. Plus, visit
Ent.com/RockyMountainWild for a chance to win four Cheyenne Mountain
Zoo tickets and view the sweepstakes rules.
Read more about our Money Space programs in the
youth account story in this issue.
