Welcome to GalaxySM!, Ent’s savings and learning program just for teens ages 13 through 17.
As a Galaxy member, you'll be introduced to the basics of good money management - including tips on how to save, spend, and even borrow money wisely.
The Galaxy program includes:
Easy Savings!
With your Galaxy savings account you can save for the things
you want, like CDs, video games, clothes, your school prom,
or even a car! And, ask us how you can earn rewards just for
saving money!
Savings Certificates so you can earn more!
Put your money to work for you with a Money Space Savings
Certificate! You only need a minimum opening deposit of $500,
and you’ll get a 12-month rate that’s typically higher than
our other 12-month certificates. Save today, have more money
tomorrow.
Club 1000 Savings Rewards
When you save at least $1000 in your Galaxy account, you'll
receive a copy of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Money for
Teens, that includes straight talk on making, saving, and
spending your own money and advice on how to manage your
money yourself. Who knows, it could give you a start on
the way to becoming a millionaire!
Galaxy Checking Account and Check Card!
Ask us how to open a checking account
with Visions from Space checks and your
own Galaxy Visa® Check Card (standard
credit qualifications apply). You need to
be 15 and have a parent as a co-signer to
open this account. What better way to show
your parents you're ready to handle additional
financial responsibility! Plus, your Galaxy
account will enjoy all the benefits of our ValuePLUS Checking,
including unlimited check writing, no minimum balance, and unlimited
surcharge-free ATM transactions at all Ent and CO-OP® ATMs
and four free ATM transactions monthly at any non-network machine.
Your Galaxy CheckCard is a great way to make purchases at the mall,
your favorite restaurant, or the movie theatre, as well as providing
access to your account through ATMs close to home or around the
state.
Learn to Manage Your Money!
Watch for our Money Management for Teens seminars where you'll
learn all about savings and checking accounts, establishing a
credit history, applying for a loan, and much more. Check the
online seminar schedule or your Connections newsletter for
upcoming dates. Then invite your parents to attend with you;
they'll be impressed that you're taking the steps to become
financially independent.
If you're under 18, bring your parent, grandparent, or legal guardian when you come in to open your new Galaxy account. They will sign as the joint owner on your account. You and your joint
owner will also need your Social Security numbers at account opening. Visit one of our Service Centers today for all the details.
